Rising has completed it’s first year, and while we are so very thankful for everyone who submitted through this past year, we want to be very specific about how we conduct ourselves in 2026 because we want this network to last long enough to create a culture shift through America. We are implementing new systems to make sure that our services are targeting creators who want to be apart of a network. While we will continue to pay writers for their work, the system will look a little different.
Getting Acclimated

Creators will submit three pieces of work (whatever media that may be) before being admitted to the Creators Circle. Moving forward from there creators will be paid per piece.
We understand that not everyone needs to be financially incentivized to create, so we will still be accepting solo pieces, we just can’t provide payment for them at the moment. However, if you can get an equal number of people to donate or subscribe, we can make exceptions to this rule! (It usually takes 8 monthly subscribers or 2 yearly subscribers to pay one creator. ) We want to encourage people to share the mission, and bringing in subscribers or donators is a great way to help facilitate the mission.

We realized this past year that there were a lot of people who submitted but didn’t subscribe to the archives or share our mission. While we still love these people very much, we realized it was a hinderance on the people who actually wanted to connect and be a part of our Rising network. We are implementing this new system to help those who are struggling to create and also make it harder for people to add weight to the system.

The creators circle allows us to have the benefit of community, and gives us more wiggle room in our finance column to put more energy into our communities.
Creators in the creators’ circle will get a picture + link to their own personal page on our site and also have bonus opportunities like discounted merch and early access to information as well as getting paid for their work!

We want everything at Rising to be open to the public, so we’ve decided that allowing the creators to view + submit their own publishing agreement would be the best course of action moving forward.

Please understand that culture shifts start with individual people deciding to make a change. We are trying to facilitate a culture of love of the arts and incentivize people to lean into their humanity. The context of your work (while important) is less important than being honest with your voice and your individual opinion about the world. We want to grow creators, not create artists.
No work is “not good enough”.
